Carmen is a New Jersey native who received a B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in animal biology at UC Davis. She is currently studying lactation physiology and mammary gland biology in Dr. Russ Hovey’s lab. Her research focuses on investigating the molecular and physiological effects of prolactin receptor function.
